And then we take – the Earth

I played around the last months with the NASA World Wind Project which is really fascinating – not only for you but for your kids to show them Planet Earth.

Now Google has started Google Earth. It provides an animated overview for the small planet we live on.

From my first impression World Wind is much more detailed and lets you explore for example weather phenomenons via animated simulations. Google Earth is designed – of course – to find the next place near to you where you can spend money. But anyway, its faster and does not require .NET.

For more information see GoogleInside, I will explore this tool later on.

P.S.: Unfortunatly Berlin, Germany is located south of Kembser and Seekamper Lake. Where ever this is – this is definetly not the german capital.
