Web-Site for Berlin Parliament nominated as best philantropic solution – KES Enterprise Solutions is the only German Business Partner nominated for this prestigous award.

Berlin, Germany, January 99 — KES Enterprise Solutions today announced that it has been finalist at the Lotus Beacon Award in the category Solutions at the fifth annual Lotusphere Beacon Awards ceremony in Orlando Fla. as part of Lotusphere 99, Lotus Development Corp.’s sixth annual worldwide technical and business conference. The Lotus Beacon Awards recognize Lotus Business Partners that have excelled at providing quality product, innovative solutions and superior services to customers.

KES Enterprise Solutions (former Kluge & Partner GmbH) used Domino to create an interactive and dynamic Web site for the Parliament in Berlin, Germanys capital city, which enables citizens to be fully informed of and involved in the daily work of their legislature.

The solution KES Enterprise Solutions delivered to the parliament in 1997 is fully powered by Domino, a complete dynamic web site that contains information related to the parliament work (http://www.parlament-berlin.de). At the construction of the web site there was only one goal: Make parliament work as clear as it can be for the citizens. The solutions is a perfect authoring tool for the press department, integrates Video feeds direct from the parliament site and even contains the daily menu at the Parliaments restaurant. Citizens who want to take part on specific public meetings can order tickets direct on the web.

„The Solution of KES Enterprise Solutions gives us the fastest way to publish content and keep it up to date“, says one of the representatives of the parliament. At the launch of this website this was the first virtual parliament in Germany. And of course it was a great success: With more than 10.000 hits per month this project is the important step bring politicans and citizens finaly together.
